Antonio Jones is the best kept secret in NYC. Having finished our renovations, we needed someone with surgical precision to trim and weatherproof doors, fix antique door knobs, install an antique hearth into our new floor and install and repair our door saddles. Mr. Jones performed every job perfectly, without dust, on time and accommodated all our extra requests. He explained the work before beginning and is a very reassuring. As an interior designer used to exacting clients, I would highly recommend him.

It is always great working with Antonio. I am awestruck by his carpentry. He is a true master craftsman whose skill and love of what he does is reflected in everything he builds. What impresses me even more about Antonio’s work is that he has been able to take whatever idea I may have about a project and build it into something great, without even so much as a drawing, might I add. He is the only one, with whom I worked, that has been able to cut wood so precisely that it perfectly contours the intricate shape of zig zagged brick walls and doorways.

I can honestly say Mr. Jones knows his craft, he rebuilds better than the original and he takes his time to properly fit in each stair. The man is amazing. Here comes the nuts and bolts: pricing: A+ (he works with you but the man likes to be paid upon completion of the job which is the way it ought to be). Workmanship: A+ (dude is amazing. Tight connections, rebuilds each stair and riser, finishing is top notch.) the only thing that jumped out to me was that he does not stain his work. He rather bring in professional strainers, which he recommends to you as well, to handle that part of the job. At first I didn’t understand it but it makes sense once you see the fine woodworking he does.

Mr. Jones is really a professionals professional. You can tell he loves his work and he does his work very well. If you want to hire someone who will be professional, work his butt off and

As a homeowner trying to rehab a very old house with very little construction or rehab knowledge, I would think you’d consider me a novice and not have much to say. Antonio is a Master Carpenter and woodworker He rebuilt the main stairs inside my home in red oak, to perfection In these old victorian nyc houses it is a precise craft to compensate for the inevitable unevenness that occurs in a 125 year old house like this.

The final product is one of elegance and perfection with not a sound or a squeak in any of the steps
We couldn’t be happier with the results after years of living with the noisy and run down old ones which had endured so many decades of children and others running up and down them.

The new stairs adorned with the original wainscoting and banister stripped of its layers and layers of paint, are certainly good for another century and a quarter.

The stairs was so squeaky and broken but thanks to tony for his advice to make new stairs instead of repairing threads and riser. After each work day he would take the time to clean up after himself and make sure the house was looking like no work was being done.

The stairs was looking real sharp and beautiful just remain to stain. It was a pleasure to work with tony and looking forward to working with him sometime again in the near future.
